Misleading marketing tactics by anti-abortion advocates to be the focus in City Attorney's Conference Room, 10:30 a.m. tomorrow
SAN FRANCISCO (Aug. 1, 2011) -- City Attorney Dennis Herrera and Supervisor Malia Cohen will co-host a joint news conference tomorrow -- at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 2 -- to discuss steps to halt deceptive marketing practices by so-called "crisis pregnancy centers" in San Francisco, which purport to offer non-judgmental abortion services and counseling to women with unwanted pregnancies, but that instead push an anti-abortion agenda on those seeking constitutionally protected medical services.
