Herrera announces lawsuit, targeting ongoing illegal dumping in Bayview/Hunter’s Point

City Attorney Herrera, Sup. Malia Cohen, and DPW to host Bayview/Hunter’s Point Press Conference, 1301 Donner Avenue at Ingalls Street

SAN FRANCISCO (Feb. 28, 2011)—City Attorney Dennis Herrera, Sup. Malia Cohen of District 10, and Department of Public Works Director Edward D. Reiskin will host a press conference tomorrow to announce a new civil lawsuit against defiant business owners for illegal dumping in San Francisco’s Bayview/Hunter’s Point neighborhood and propose local dumping legislation. The defendants will be announced tomorrow.

The press conference location at 1301 Donner Avenue is the site at which numerous instances of illegal dumping have occurred.
