‘Women at Work,’ an original series by SFGovTV, offers compelling story-telling documentaries that highlight dynamic women in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 14, 2015)—A new series by SFGovTV entitled “Women at Work” features key staffers from the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, including Chief Tax Attorney Jean Alexander; Administrative Assistant Jazmin Flores; and Public Information Coordinator Andrea Guzman.
“SFGovTV’s ‘Women at Work’ series is compelling filmmaking about inspiring women, and I couldn’t be happier to see Jean, Jazmin and Andrea featured in the early episodes,” said City Attorney Dennis Herrera. “I’m proud to lead an office in which incredibly talented women account for some 60 percent of our employment positions, from leadership roles to legal support. Our office stands in stark contrast to the legal profession nationally, which has made dismally slow progress to address persistent gender disparities in employment opportunities. According to statistics published by the American Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession last year, in fact, women comprise just 34 percent of the legal profession in the United States—and that’s despite achieving near gender parity in Juris Doctorate degrees, nearly half of which are today awarded to women.”
