City Attorney Dennis Herrera

“San Francisco joined a coalition of cities in filing an amicus brief with the Supreme Court because no one should live in fear that they could be fired from their job simply because of who they are. I am thrilled that the top court in the land has recognized that federal anti-discrimination laws protect our LBGTQ community. This is a huge victory for equality, decency and fairness. In these tumultuous times, earning this kind of victory – especially during Pride Month – makes it that much sweeter.”

Background
