SAN FRANCISCO (Dec. 18, 2015)—City Attorney Dennis Herrera’s Claims Division, which processes some 3,500 claims every year, reminds San Franciscans to exercise caution this holiday season, and to be aware of the increased risk of accidents and injuries between Thanksgiving and New Years Day.  Holiday-related travel, parties, food preparation, decorating and more can all pose heightened safety risks.

Helpfully, the National Safety Council offers tips on how to enjoy a safe holiday season, which the Claims Division recommends as a valuable and informative resource.  The NSC website includes visual aids like a “12 Days of Safety” infographic, and a compelling video about a particularly appalling menace to American public safety during the holidays.  (SPOILER ALERT: stop deep-frying turkeys!)
